Safety Statements
It is a legal obligation for all businesses to have a Safety Statement. (Section 20 of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005).
The Safety Statement is a written document which details the management and control of risk in your workplace. This is a dynamic document reflecting your commitment to health and safety management. The Safety Statement must be specific to your business and not generic in nature. We tailor all Safety Statements to your organisation’s needs.
Failure to have an up to date and relevant Safety Statement can result in legal action by the Health and Safety Authority.
Safety Auditing
Safety Auditing is carried out to establish the current level of compliance and establishes a base for implementing Safety Management Systems. The audit cites where compliance is lacking and indicates the remedial action to be taken for non-compliance.
The audit also assists managers and supervisors in demonstrating due dilegence.
Audits are conducted to determine the effectiveness of the management system and to identify the opportunities for improvements.
